Anti-plagiarism Policy

Only original materials that have not been previously published are accepted for publication.

Authors must ensure the following:

  • The originality of the submitted materials, which have not been published in any other journals in any language;
  • The absence of plagiarism;
  • Correct citation of sources when using works by other authors.

The journal “University Economic Bulletin” uses special software to check the submitted manuscripts for text plagiarism. To check for plagiarism, iThenticate software is used. The program checks for plagiarism both in local databases and on the Internet, after which the generated report is analysed by the Editorial Board.

The Editorial Board carefully examines all instances of plagiarism and reserves the right to exclude a manuscript from the review process. Scientific works received by the editorial team are evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • If the originality of the text exceeds 85%, the material is accepted for review.
  • If the originality is between 75% and 85%, the article is returned to the authors for revision with a recommendation to review the textual borrowings and resubmit the revised version.
  • If the originality is below 75%, the manuscript will not be accepted for review.
  • Plagiarism from a single source must not exceed 3%.

Any form of plagiarism is unacceptable and is considered a violation of the ethical standards governing the relationships between authors, reviewers, editors, publishers, and readers.
