Biography

Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Worker of Agriculture of Ukraine, Academician of the Academy of Business Sciences of Georgia. She was born on September 4, 1977, in Borodianka, Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine.

She graduated from Kyiv National Economic University in 1999 with a degree in Economics and Economic Education. In 2012, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic “Regulation of Aquaculture Development in Ukraine”. Since 2014, she has been the Head of the Department of Global Economy at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine.

Nataliia Vdovenko has over twenty years of scientific and pedagogical experience.

Scientific achievements:

  • author of over 640 scientific publications, including 26 monographs, 12 textbooks, and 8 patents in Ukraine;
  • mentored 13 researchers, including 2 Doctors of Economics;
  • leader and participant of state scientific research projects.

Main areas of scientific interest:

  • global, circular, and blue economy;
  • competitiveness of the agricultural sector;
  • regulation of fisheries and aquaculture;
  • accounting for biological assets.

She actively participates in expert councils and working groups of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the State Agency for Fisheries, and serves as an expert for the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance. She is also a member of working groups of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, contributing to the development and implementation of public policy in these areas.

For her significant contribution to science and education, she has received numerous awards, including the Certificate of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “For Services to the Ukrainian People”, the badge “Excellence in Education of Ukraine”, honorary certificates from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the State Fisheries Agency, and letters of appreciation from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
